Follow our guide down a natural bayou through a natural Louisiana swamp. Along the way your guide will pause to give detailed info about the bayous, swamps, and Louisiana’s wetland eco systems. At the mid way point, we will enjoy stop and enjoy the surroundings. Depending on the season wildlife consists of ibises, egrets, herons, eagles, alligators, turtles, and more. Woodpeckers and assorted song birds are seasonal visitors to the living and dead cypress trees visible from the bayou.

Reservations are required, if you do not use our transportation detailed driving directions will be emailed in the confirmation email. We currently use a public launch near Laplace, La.

Very very well informed tour guides. The owner is an environmentalist as an I and so amazing to listen to. I will go back on another tour with my kids when I come back to this amazing place. So grateful we got to have this experience.i would recommend this tour 100%.

Hannah picked us up on-time at the promised location. The two person open kayaks worked well. The paddling route through the bayou was very scenic and quiet and made a nice change from the frenzy of the French Quarter. Hannah took and shared some great images of our day. A great excursion - highly recommended.

We decided we wanted to see something of the bayous while visiting New Orleans. Hannah was a wonderful guide, knowledgable, easy to be with and skilled. The Manchak Swamp was beautiful, and the kayaking was relaxed and not particularly strenuous. We saw quite a few birds, turtles and an alligator(!) even though it was kind of cool and cloudy.We opted to b picked up in town and driven to the launch site, which was a good choice. We met Hannah at the pickup spot at 8:45 am and were back in town (enjoying a delicious lunch at a place she recommended) by about 1:30. I highly recommend this company.
