If you're hoping to kayak Santa Barbara with other travelers and enjoy the sights with new friends then the group kayak tour is the way to go!

Whichever kayaking tour you choose you'll be in the very capable hands of our friendly and experienced tour guides. Your local kayaking guide will show you the stunning boats in our harbor as well as introduce you to some cute and cuddly sea lions and seals!

Prepare to take in views of Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Mountains, and keep your eyes peeled for dolphins! Your expert guide will share information about Santa Barbara's top attractions and customize the speed of the ride to suit your needs.

  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • You will be meeting your guide at West Beach which is located on the beach directly across from the Harbor View Inn Hotel (28 W Cabrillo Blvd, Santa Barbara). You will see our blue rental flags, white equipment shed, and stand up paddle boards and kayaks.
  • Children ages 5 to 11 years must be in a tandem kayak with an parent or guardian regardless of skill level
  • All persons must be able to swim
  • Please remember to bring your swimsuit and towel
  • Social distancing enforced throughout experience

The tour guide was beyond anything we expected. Jason was our guide and he was professionally chill. He broke down every part of the tour, took extreme care to make sure my girl and my puppy were all situated and made sure it was an amazing experience. He’s witty, funny and an absolute joy beyond anything we thought this tour would be. Time flew by because he kept all of us engaged in conversation and fun adventures that I wish we had another few hours to just hang out. I’ve never been on a tour where the guide made the tour and trip memorable. Can’t wait to come back again! If it’s your first time, don’t overthink it, I was able to paddle for my girl and me just fine. Our Pug was getting adjusted and it was super easy for us to keep up without any issues. The shed they use to lock up everything has a full staff around it at all times and you have nothing to worry about leaving it there. I over packed and bought a waterproof case and bag… wasn’t necessary at all. Enjoy!

Great experience with Kristen in our private kayak tour. Highly recommend Seeing the Sea Lions up close was great and Kristen was ver knowledgeable.
