Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

What To Expect

Hoonah

We'll leave the town of Hoonah and we'll travel by an old logging camp. After that we'll get out at a place us locals call Long Island.

My 20 year old son and I went on a Kayak trip with Fairweather Kayaks. Cody was our guide and was great at setting an easy pace and being a guide. He pointed out lots of points of interest and gave us information about the area. This kayak trip was our favorite excursion on our Alaskan Cruise.

We had the most amazing experience. Saw so many whales and even more wildlife. Awesome time! One of the couples in our group got tipped by the whale breeching! It was insane but we felt so safe the entire time. There is a rescue boat that is with you the entire way. No one needed help, though!
