Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

We'll provide life jackets, paddles, kayaks, and spray skirts. As well as light rain ponchos if its a rainy day

What To Expect

Hoonah

We'll leave the town of Hoonah and we'll travel by an old logging camp. After that we'll get out at a place us locals call Long Island.

Just spectacular. The place is perfect, the guide is perfect. Cody immediately sees what you're ready for and eager for, and delivers. This is exactly what we came to Alaska for! Peace, tranquillity, grace and excitement all the time. Cody adjusted to our changing schedule and was as welcoming as anyone could be, along with his family. This is a gem.

Cody was an excellent, entertaining guide! He and his family were wonderful. We watched numerous humpbacks and got quite a show with one breaching and slapping its tail. We also really liked the security of the "safety boat" that followed us at a distance just in case we needed it. I can't say enough about how wonderful this tour was. The highlight of our whole trip!
