Deception Pass State Park

Deception Pass State Park is Washington's most popular state park. Over one million visitors and residents visit Deception Pass to explore its beautiful trails and scenic beaches, and to walk across the historic Deception Pass Bridge.

Fidalgo Island

Bowman Bay is located on Fidalgo Island and offers a peaceful place for kayakers of all ages and abilities. Just outside the bay participants are treated to expansive views of Fidalgo Island and the rest of the San Juan islands.

Amazing day. Beautiful weather and environment. Jacob, our guide was excellent. He attended to every member of our group, chatting yet observing for safety of all. He gave interesting information on local sealife and birds, pointing out what to look for. He could have just paddled with all but he didn't. My family feels we received a wonderful experience and highly recommend it to anyone interested. We felt safe and well looked after-this was our first time to kayak.

My sons and I had a fantastic tour. We saw a large purple sea star, Dungeness crabs, sea urchins, and a northern elephant seal. Our guide Tim was patient with my three sons and was knowledgeable about the marine organisms and local history. I will definitely come back again.

Our guide Tim was super helpful and informative. We loved the tour. We got to see some sealife and even taste some of the kelp. Didn’t see any orcas. But we were aware they might not pop up. Definitely recommend!!
