We had a great time on this snorkeling trip to Kealakekua, aka “Captain Cook’s Cove”. The crew was so much fun and extremely attentive to our every need (even coming around to clean our ocean-splashed sunglasses!) The food was very good (breads and fruit for breakfast and make your own sandwiches for lunch, along with sides and all you want to drink non-alcoholic beverages and juices.) in our boat ride to the cove, the captain stopped when needed to let us watch whales, and both spinner and bottle-nose dolphins. It was neat to see the monument dedicated to Captain Cook (I suggest researching him before you go.) We had some awesome snorkeling at the cove! We even saw both a black tipped and white tipped reef shark. We were told that they are not aggressive and we agreed because they must be used to all the people there (lots of boats with lots of snorkelers.) It was thrilling to swim with a shark in open water, and I got some great video. Our trip back to the harbor was very choppy but not too bothersome, although a couple of ladies did suffer from motion sickness. If you have a tendency for that, plan accordingly and take some less-drowsy Dramamine.) This is an adventure, so you can get splashed a bit on the boat if it’s windy. We enjoyed the boat! It’s not a huge double decker monstrosity like some of the other outfits have, but it’s a very comfortable, big catamaran type and there are restrooms on board. I would highly recommend KonaStyle! The crew was amazing, fun and knowledgeable. We had a blast!!

Mahalo for going out with us and for taking the time to leave such a thorough review! Kona is known for its abundance of marine life and it sounds like you got to experience a large amount of it on your trip, which is fantastic! Thank you for the recommendation. We truly appreciate the kind words about our boat and hard-working team members. Aloha, Alika M., Owner
PS - please share with us some of the great video you got!
