My mom and I booked this excursion during our first-ever cruise, and it was an amazing way to start our on-shore experiences in Alaska. Mickie and Keenan were energetic and enthusiastic guides who also had a lot of kindness and patience for our group that had varied ages and skill levels. We had a smooth experience from start to finish, from getting suited up to paddling to returning. I loved seeing eagles soar overhead along with jellyfish and sea stars in the water. I like to think of myself as an experienced kayaker, but this took it up a notch- I did a lot of work on the open water! But it was all worth it. My tip: Stay near the front or back of the pack to best hear your guides as they point out highlights while on the water.
