Overview
You must call the local operator prior to travel date to confirm exact departure time. Contact info will be provided with your confirmation.
Fly with Paradise to the Kohala Valleys to hover amidst the breathtaking 2500’ waterfalls and sheer cliff faces. View lava fields from the 1801 Hualalai eruption and the 1859 Mauna Loa eruption, which traveled over 31 miles before reaching the now world-famous Kohala Coast. Mid-flight your aircraft will touch down at a remote location deep in Kohala Mountains to explore and enjoy a moderate 0.5 mile pilot-led hike through a Guava (waiwi) forest. The meandering trail immerses you in the flora and fauna of Kohala and surprises you with a dramatic coastline vista, offering views of the Mokupuku island formations and waves crashing along the rugged north shore of Hawaii Island. All the while you will learn about the culture and diverse natural habitat of this untouched serene location that most people never see.

Fantastic experience. Our pilot Page was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The helicopter was very comfortable and FUN! The waterfalls were gorgeous. The hike was cool, too, through a guava tree stand down to a view overlooking gorgeous scenery.

My husband and I absolutely loved our experience with Paradise Helicopters! If you're looking for one excursion to do when you visit the Island make sure it's this one! Ryan, our pilot, was so knowledgeable of the land and also great places to go and see/eat and he made sure to share it all with us. The flight itself was exhilarating and by far one of the best experiences I've ever had! The waterfalls were breathtaking and completely mind blowing! Being able to land the helicopter on private land and hike out to the scenic cliff really was the cherry on top for us. Would certainly do this again and again.

This tour was fantastic! It was the highlight of our trip to the big island. The scenery was nothing short of breathtaking. And our pilot Matt was awesome. We were not able to do the hike as planned due to too much rainfall, but Matt landed at an alternative location to enjoy the view & take photos. So depending on how much it has rained the days prior to your flight, you may want to skip the landing. Other than that, everything was perfect. And we will definitely do this again on a return trip.

Aloha! Mahalo for taking the time to post your review! Hawaii's weather is so unpredictable, however, our pilots are good at coming up with alternative options that are just as stunning. We're sorry to hear you weren't able to do the hike, but thrilled to hear you had a seamless trip otherwise. We look forward to welcoming you back with us soon! Mahalo, Paradise Helicopters
