Join us to observe the behavior of the Humpback Whales while they visit the Hawaiian Islands. Learn more about them from our kind & qualified staff. If the whales are singing, we will have the opportunity to listen to their hauntingly beautiful songs with our hydrophone! Our vessel only takes 6 people max so you beat the typical tourist trap large vessels for a more intimate experience.

Kaimana Ocean Safari is the best on Big Island! It’s very obvious each member of the staff cares greatly about the animals and they are FULL of knowledge! Although wildlife can be unpredictable, the staff works very hard and does everything they can to ensure you have an amazing (and fun!) experience. Listening to whales sing on the hydrophone is SO cool! One of my favorite things about Kaimana is the smaller boat size because that means LESS PEOPLE onboard, which is always a plus and makes the experience much more personalized and intimate! I would highly recommend a whale watching excursion with Kaimana Ocean Safari!

I’ve gone on a few safaris with Kay from Kaimana now and I’ve loved it every time! They’re professional, knowledgeable, and wildly passionate about what they do. Definitely a must do if you’re on the Big Island!
