My husband and I were sailing the Pride of America. When we got to Kona, we met "Dre" who was waiting on the pier to fill up his tour. We had originally planned on just beach hopping, but none of the taxis were interested in driving us to a beach for a low paying ride. They were only interested in scoring those people who wanted a full day tour. We are so lucky to have met Dre because not only was he honest and polite and fun to be around! He made sure we were all really enjoying the day. He promised us that we would not be disappointed when he took us to a food network reviewed place to eat. It was a local place, nothing fancy at all. The people were really down to earth and make great food! We enjoyed our stop at Kona Coffee even though we don't even drink it! There was also tea there along with Kona coffee rum cakes. How can you go wrong? We also enjoyed seeing the church painted by Father Damien and photographing the sea turtles. The cherry on the cake for us was being able to snorkel. Dre took us to a spot where the water was perfect and we saw amazing fish!

We were on a NCL Cruise on the Pride of America. In Hilo we took the volcanoes national park tour with Dre. He was so much fun and so knowledgable that we signed up for the next day in Kona. A great way to see the island. We’ll have lots of wonderful memories of this trip.

We could have done all the items on this tour on our own. And, to top it off, my friend fell on a trail to the ocean, was hurt and opted to go back to our condo. Obviously, the fall wasn't Viator's fault, but we were denied a refund because they said she was tired and didn't want to continue. Our guide said the trail was .1 mile to the beach but it was closer to a mile. I have been trying to contact them but keep getting a reservation company which cannot help me and doesn't have a number for Viator. All very discouraging and disappointing.
