Ani was our guide and right from the start of the tour made everyone feel welcome and part of the group. The tour was fun and the nicely spaced out across the 3 hour tour. The food & drink tastings were all excellent. For me the highlight was the stop at the Tasty Kona store where we got to try - amongst other things - some Espresso chocolate and Guava fruit jellies - both were absolutely amazing and locally made to boot. Throughout the tour, Ani was extremely knowledgeable - not only about the places we visited but also the island's history and flora as well. She did a great job over the course of the tour to talk with each of the parties in our group. Overall, highly recommended tour, especially with Ani as your guide!

If possible do this in your first few days on the island! It is perfect to give visitors a brief rundown of some of the local hot spots to go to for food, drinks, or gifts. Wear good walking shoes!!! I made that mistake but it was not too bad in the end. One tip I would like to give is to get there early to find parking. There are a few free public parking areas hidden around that are popular. For the tour, YOU SHOULD ALSO GET A TEXT SAYING TO CHECK IN EARLY FOR THE TOUR! I did not get that text and ended up being late. However, the tour guild allowed me to meet up with the group a little way down at the first stop. She even pointed out some interesting sites along the way that are not food or drink-related but had to do with the history of the area. All in all, I had a good time.

The walking tour was super fun and informative! We had 2 guides who worked together to make sure our group was well informed and well fed. There were 7 stops along the downtown Kona area and we had a great variety of treats, drinks, and sights. My partner and I were not drinking alcohol, but we were able to have plenty of delicious virgin drinks. It was a perfect last day activity, and even though it was about 3 hours it felt well paced. Make sure to bring sunscreen and a hat, especially if it is hot and sunny out!
