So being in the beautiful north shore we decided to go explore the the ranch where so many famous movies have been shot. What better way then by horse back right ? Well as soon as you turn upto this theme park you will have to dodge all the many many tourist buses and make your way through their food and souvenir shops. Which were staffed by people.so.unhappy to be there and the food I did try was very average. We then made our way to our horse back loading area and paid a whopping $90 a person. A price I'm happy to pay for a quality ride. However we were then loaded up into a group for approx 28 people and only 3 guides. Impossible to hear the guides as they were busy with any of the riders that had no idea how to ride a horse. That be said I knew at least we would get to explore the ranch and have memories to last for ever......... WRONG ! you literally go out a gate and very very slowly ride in circle through some trees and back again. $90 for circle through trees with a heard of tourists? Come on the original owners of the ranch would be turning in their graves. I own business's myself and can see this business is all about making as much profit as possible and that's it. Even the guides hinted at their dismay in.the sizes and lengths obviously trying not to.say to much for loss of jobs. Lower the number of rides of a group to no more than 8 and in crease the ride to actually see some of the ranch rather then a turtle pace walk for 30 mins in a circle. Real value was not found here just another tourist trap! You would get more value just driving next to the ranch.

Did a 2 hour horse back riding at Kualoa Ranch. My first time riding the horse in a long time. Maddie, our guide for the trip, was helpful and very friendly. Rode to see where Jurassic World and a bunch of other movies were filmed. Definitely recommended if you want a relaxing 2 hour to see an astounding view.

To start with - We have never ridden a horse before and for this reason we really argued between the 1 hour or 2 hour before booking. Just let me say we did the right thing by booking the 2 hour tour ( 1 hour is not enough to cover the distance and see everything) and the fact that we had never been on a horse before was not a problem at all. Firstly this is organised very well, our guide Josie was amazing - not only is she very knowledgeable about films/TV filmed, she really takes an interest in the people on her tour - making sure they have a good time and for us , relaxing us on our first horse ride- not to mention the number of pics she took for us. In summary, The scenery was fabulous, Josie was amazing and the Ranch itself something not to be missed.
