Overview

Our Secret Island Beach Adventure is an ideal place to relax and spend the day with family and friends and enjoy water sports and beach games. Bring your reef-safe sunscreen, swimsuit, water shoes, towel, shades and a camera for a fun-filled beach day. Some activities available may include kayaking, stand-up paddle-boarding, beach volleyball, table tennis, or horseshoes and are available on a first come, first served basis.

In addition to activities, you can just relax and read a book in a hammock under a swaying palm tree. Showers and changing rooms are available on Secret Island so bring a change of clothes and a towel if you’re planning to take a dip in the ocean.

You can bring your own drink coolers and lunch/snacks if you want … just no glass bottles allowed … cans are preferred to avoid using single-use plastics!

Only the Full Day Secret Island option includes a box lunch. All other options no food/beverages are included.

. . .and it was really a wonderful boat ride out to the island. The road to the area where we took the canoe out to the island did say private property, but not sure how much of a secret it is after talking to some natives. It was an hour and a half adventure, well worth your time if you have never done the tour. The highlights are the secret island, of course, and the history of the many TV shows and movies filmed there. Secret? The Catamaran ride out near Chinaman's hat was the coolest. A rocky ride on some pretty serious waves, where you can see the many sea turtles playing nearby. Not bad. These adventures are pricey; therefore, seriously consider what really interests you before choosing. My advice is to choose at least two. The ATV ride was sold out until July. We passed those guys by in my other tour, the Hollywood movie tour. It looked like a lot of fun. Next year! Also, there is a famous photo which people take and post online with their back to the lake and mountains, while facing the pier. I was told people call from around the world trying to find where the picture is taken. It's taken at the secret island. That's why it is a rare photo. I was told about this after returning from the adventure, uggh! My only real complaint.

Had a great time with our office party at Secret Island. The staff was wonderful and there are different activities to do all at one place. The best part was taking a canoe out to the sandbar away from everyone. Good time had by all. Just a tip, you might want to do this earlier in the day in case the weather turns and wind picks up. It is usually rainy on this side but still beautiful if it is.

Unfortunately, the jungle tour was not available, so we decided to go on the half day tour. You spend about 45 minutes of the 3 hours transferring between the main center and the island. The island itself is nice, with a variety of activities. We happened to be there on a day that was full of groups, so we didn't get to take full advantage. Not sure I would jump to do this activity again.
