Expect to get wet, please wear appropriate clothes such as a bathing suit and shoes that can get wet (tennis shoes, 'river shoes' or flip flops)
Hats, sun screen and towels are strongly advised
Please do not bring valuables and things that cannot get wet
There is a weight limit of 250 pounds per single kayak and 450 pounds per double kayak
For safety reasons, the tour operator does not guarantee going into the caves on tours. Entrance to caves is based on ocean conditions, safety, and participants ability as determined by guide.
Minimum age is 6 years for a double kayak and 16 years for a single kayak
All participants must be able to swim
Social distancing enforced throughout experience
Regularly sanitised high-traffic areas
Gear/equipment sanitised between use
Guides required to regularly wash hands

The La Jolla caves kayak tour was a fantastic way to spend some quality time on the ocean. We had picture perfect weather and calm water to enjoy kayaking from the beach out to the caves and back. Our guides, Jordan and Claire were excellent. Both had great information to share on the surrounding area and marine life. Sharing a double kayak made the trip more enjoyable for two people as we could chat as we went. Highly recommend this tour! I hope to come back again one day to do with my may family!

My wife and I were fortunate enough to have a guided trip with Omar, who shared his extensive knowledge of both the La Jolla Cove and the surrounding neighborhoods we could see from the water. He was extremely helpful in his instructions both getting out past the break and returning, which was key as we saw a number of kayaks flip coming in. All in all a memorable adventure.

I want start by saying that guides, Katie and Eric, were really awesome and very funny. They gave great information and kept things easy and relaxed. The helpers on the beach were also truly heroic in working to get everyone past the high surf. Since the surf was high we weren’t able to go into the caves, and didn’t see a whole lot of marine life. It was fun to be on the water in the sun, but there wasn’t a lot to do. The tour company can’t control the weather and surf, so it’s really no one’s fault. Riding the waves back in was really fun and exciting, and my husband and I joked there needs to be a tour where you just ride the waves out an back in for an hour😂. Eric gave great recommendations for lunch, and all in all a good time on the water.
