The tour guide Cidelca was punctual. He was professional, polite, and is very knowledgeable on the history of Haiti and Little Haiti. Due to COVID some of the shops, cultural center and museum were closed. After walking around I could tell Little Haiti as a whole doesn’t have much to offer. Cidelca explained to me that Little Haiti is under developed because The City of Miami doesn’t put any money into the community. The leaders of Miami need to do better. It is even more evident what Cidelca was telling me was true because a mile away is Miami’s Design District. I gave this tour a four because there wasn’t much to see. However, once COVID is over I plan to go back and explore the establishments that were closed.

Don't let the name fool you - this is a walking tour of Little Haiti. It is lead and designed by the fantastic and truly knowledgeable Cidelca, who is clearly and rightly respected in the local community. I visited on a Saturday and joined a small and friendly group; we were encouraged to ask questions and interact with the local community throughout the tour, which was really special. I learnt so much about the history of both Haiti and Little Haiti but Cidelca struck the perfect balance of providing context and background without overloading us with information. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Miami and look forward to experiencing another Tap Tap Tour in the future. My day in Little Haiti was the highlight of my Miami Beach holiday. Thank you!
