This informative, easy 2-hour tour of 7.5 miles with some small hills, starts at Barton Springs South Gate and makes its way around the lake on the hike-n-bike loop trail, including the boardwalk, Zilker Park, Butler Park and Congress Bat bridge. What To Expect

Zilker Metropolitan Park

Zilker Metropolitan Park is a recreational area in south Austin, Texas at the juncture of Barton Creek and the Colorado River that comprises over 350 acres of publicly owned land. It is named after its benefactor, Andrew Jackson Zilker, who donated the land to the city in 1917

Barton Springs Pool

Barton Springs Pool is a recreational outdoor swimming pool that is filled entirely with water from nearby natural springs. It is located on the grounds of Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. The pool exists within the channel of Barton Creek and utilizes water from Main Barton Spring, the fourth largest spring in Texas

Lady Bird Lake Hike-and-Bike Trail

Austin’s famous urban trail along the lake, the Butler hike-n-bike trail. This multi use trail circles around Lady Bird Lake and includes Austin's new over the water boardwalk. This ride is traffic free (i.e. no cars) and features many shaded areas. The tour distance is approximately 7.5 miles on mostly flat natural/paved services with a few small hills.

Auditorium Shores

Auditorium Shores is an urban park located in downtown Austin, Texas, within the larger Town Lake Park. Its name refers to its location between the former Palmer Auditorium and the shores of Lady Bird Lake

This tour will allow you to take in some of the great history in Austin from your guide. When you reach the downtown area you will get to see some of the best parks in downtown Austin, including Auditorium Shores, Zilker Park and Barton Springs.

I was in Austin for the first time and thought this would be great way to explore the city. Mike is a wonderful guide. He was friendly, engaging, and shared his knowledge about Austin. You'll have great views of downtown during the tour. If you love lakes, parks, and enjoy biking, then this tour is for you.

This was our first time in Austin, and we only had 3 days. So I was excited to see that there was a bike tour of the large Lady Bird Lake area. The tour was excellent! Mike was fun, engaging, chatty and, most importantly, extremely knowledgeable about the area and Austin in general. It was a great, energizing way to start our day. Loved it, and would highly recommend!

I highly recommend this tour. Lake Bird Lake is a beautiful park and our tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about what Austin has to offer and very patient with our bike skills.
