We got really lucky and ended up with our private tour due to Covid. We did the 3pm tour on a Friday and everything was easy...getting there, parking, getting gear, etc. Nice new, clean & well-maintained machines. There are a couple stops which give you chance to swap drivers, take in landscape, and even plant a tree (which they do every tour). We had 2500 acres and 100miles of trails to ourselves minus one random jeep. Tons of butterflies, some cool dragonflies, and edible berries along trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable RE: history of the pineapple plantation, Maui, Lanai, local flora/fauna, etc. If you want a unique experience with significant other, family, or friends that’s minutes from hotels in Kaanapali...this is it! One thing to note is that you will get dirty! Maui is notorious for its sticky red dirt of which you’ll end up wearing and eating by the end, but all part of the experience! Don’t wear or bring anything you don’t want getting dirty, but that comes w/ any ATV tour. Again, super friendly, knowledgeable, environmentally conscious, and all around great experience!
