Lahaina Kayak and Snorkel Excursion

Overview

This west Maui eco adventure starts in the calm waters just south of Lahaina Town. Paddle along calm and shallow waters beneath the towering West Maui Mountains. Snorkel beautiful coral reefs and view tropical reef fish. Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles are regular sightings. Occasionally encounter the elusive Monk Seal, Spinner Dolphins, and Eagle Rays. This is an excellent spot for whale watching when in season (Jan-Mar). Tour is located conveniently at our store at 505 Front Street in downtown Lahaina.

We had a terrific time on our Kayak trip. Our guide Ryan was fantastic! He told us up front that our main focus was whale watching first and we would do about 30 minutes of snorkeling at the end. We were very lucky we found a mother whale, her calf and male escort about 2 miles out and they were just hanging around, so we were able to sit and watch them for about an hour. We were probably less than 50 yards from them. It was so cool! We got back to the reef and did snorkel for about 30 minutes. This too was amazing. We were right on the shelf and 5 sea turtles were hanging out there. Highly recommend Ryan. The whole trip was well organized and very professional.

My partner and I were really struggling at first but the instructor/ guide was very patient with us, and lead us to a great site to see beautiful animals and reefs. We even got to see a seal.

Paid for snorkeling and kayaking and did only kayaking. We were in the water for 2 hrs max. The instructor was fine. Other places advertised kayaking only and was cheaper. You should get what you pay for or get a refund.
