Our experience was below our expectation. Our guide Timothy was a nice guy but mostly seemed bored the whole time. He paddled some distance ahead of us and did not talk or interact with us except to point out a seal and a turtle. Our kayak got stuck on coral and he came to pull us out. I guess those few moments is what we paid the expensive guided price for, instead of the cheaper price to just rent kayaks and go on our own. Next time we will go on our own. I would not recommend this tour except for very beginners like us who might need help.

Our guide, Mark was the best part of the tour. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and safety conscious, paddling out to the ocean and enjoying magnificent Mother Nature was truly an experience of a lifetime. Had I known snorkeling was permitted, I would’ve dove in to see the many sea turtles, monk sea lions, and other creatures. A must for Maui visitors!
