Emerald Bay State Park
The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

I decided to spend my 50th birthday in Lake Tahoe and booked activities ahead of time to ensure I had a fun filled weekend. Booking this tour was one of the best decisions I have ever made!!!! My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to have Keith as our guide. His love for his craft was evident in every moment we spent with him. We visited locations we would have never known existed, captured breathtaking shots of Lake Tahoe, and learned a great deal about photography and the region. He is a long time resident of the area so, besides knowing all of the best locations, we learned a lot about the history of South Lake Tahoe as well. We felt as if we were hanging out with that great brother/uncle/friend which you want at every occasion. He could not have been more kind and caring. I can not thank him enough for letting us see Lake Tahoe through his eyes. I am still glowing from the experience three days later and will be for years to come. And a special shout out to Robin! We were lucky enough to meet and chat with her during our lunch stop. I can honestly say that we now have new friends in Lake Tahoe...and I feel extremely lucky to be able to call them that.

Seemed like a lot of money for 4-5 hours, but it was certainly worth the price. The driver (Victor) picked us up right on time at our hotel in a Toyota Sequoia and then picked up another couple next door. He was very friendly and the five of us had a great time. He drove us over to the west side of the lake and took lots of photos along the way. We took a short walk to a great lookout point overlooking Emerald Bay that we would have never known was there. Then over to Sugar Pine Beach where we walked around the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion and walked along the beach. Then up to Fallen Leaf Lake and above that along the Angora Ridge road with its fantastic views. Victor was a fantastic driver on all those narrow winding roads. I wouldn't even attempt to navigate them. All in all it was a great day and the photos he took arrived by email within five days. He must have sent us about 35 and they were so much better than what I usually end up with with my Iphone shots. Plus it was nice to have professional photos of the two of us with all the gorgeous scenery around. Lake Tahoe is beautiful and this tour made it even better.

It was beautiful, and fun. The guide was interesting and knowledgeable about many topics. The only criticism is that the afternoon driving time was rather long. I suggest finding another stop during the afternoon to break up the driving time.
