What To Expect
1
Emerald Bay State Park
The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoeā€™s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

This was an awesome tour. Tour guide, Greg, was familiar with the area and shared lots of personal insights. The views were gorgeous - and we had a lot of different views. It was a nice, relaxed tour. They also worked well with what worked into our schedule and things were very flexible. A little pricey, but we felt it was worth the money spent.

This was by far the best money that we could have ever spent! I am an amateur photographer who is always looking for new and interesting things to photograph so when I did some research for our upcoming trip to Lake Tahoe I came upon Tahoe Photographic Tours. I then immediately went to TripAdvisor to see what everyone else had to say about the company and was extremely impressed with all of the wonderful reviews that it has received. (My partner who is not a photographer was equally impressed with the reviews and wanted to go along as well just for the sight-seeing aspect of the trip.) I booked a full-day excursion for the 2 of us online and was immediately contacted by phone by co-owner Robin who set everything up for us. (She was super communicative and made herself available for any questions that we had prior to our tour.) As it turned out, we ended up having a private tour for the entire day and our wonderful guide Mike was by far, one of the most knowledgeable and friendly people we could have found. (He worked for the National Forest Service for a number of years and knows a lot about the local parks, trails and attractions.) At the end of the day we were filled with a lot of great first-hand knowledge about the Lake Tahoe area as well as some wonderful memories and photographs. I would highly recommend Tahoe Photographic Tours for anyone - photographer or not.

Choosing to go on the private (instructional) Tahoe Photographic Tour with Keith Price was the highlight of my trip to Lake Tahoe. I am simply a begining photographer and Keith taught me not only how to use my camera but he also put all the photograpy terms in a way that I could easily and quickly understand. Just from a half day with Keith I got a great start to my future with photography and he was able to keep me interested from begining to end! He also took us to places that nobody could find on their own unless they lived there. Having Keith as my tour guide was worth every penny and minute! Being able to share this day with my sister and parents made the day even more special as Keith took a lot of photos of us together that we would not have had otherwise. Weather you're a budding photographer, expert photographer or just a sightseeing enthusiast you will love this experience.
