What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

My best friend booked a tour for 4 hours for herself and I decided to join her. We were picked up from our hotel by Dough and Linda who are very nice and very welcoming. They drove us to Emerald Bay to meet Keith; one of the most talented photographer i've ever met. =) They took us to places and spots that we would never get to see if not because of them. All of the places they took us are amazing with spectacular scenery. (trust me, there's lot of hidden spot for beautiful photo and food for your eye and soul) Everything is just perfect with all the good time, memory, and fun. I'm still smiling when thinking about the tour with Keith, Dough, and Linda. Most importantly, I just received the best quality photos from our tour in my mail today! (it was less than a week!). They are all terrific! Keith and Dough photos are so beautiful. I love love them. Make sure you get on the tour with them if you go to Tahoe! Or you will miss a big time =)

This tour is a “must do” for amateur photographers visiting Lake Tahoe. The owner, Keith, was extremely accommodating and responsive when I scheduled the tour. He was totally committed to ensuring that we would have the most positive experience. Our guide, Doug, conveniently picked us up at our hotel. He was a terrific tour guide. He took us to places that we would have never found on our own. He knew exactly where to go to pick up the most magnificent colors in our pictures. The contrast of the white snow, sandy beaches, blue water and sky were nothing short of spectacular. My wife and I took some of the best photographs of our lives. I never felt rushed. We were able to go to several locations with awesome scenery that were secluded and had practically no crowds. At one point we saw two wild coyotes and got some great candid photographs. Doug took some great shots of my wife and me. The CD that we received in the mail a couple weeks after the trip had some phenomenal pictures of the two of us with all the splendor of Lake Tahoe. Thanks Keith and Doug for a great experience!

We decided on this tour at the last minute on the recommendation of a friend. I'm so glad we did the tour - it was the highlight of our trip to Tahoe! We took the tour in March and were treated to beautiful snow covered fields, waterfalls and all of the back country beauty we would have not seen otherwise. Our guide, Greg, was awesome. He gave us much history about the Tahoe area and was very knowledgable. He picked up as scheduled and was a great host. We were disappointed to have to say goodbye to Greg at the end of the day. We returned to our home on Sunday and were quite surprised that on Tuesday our CD with all of our pictures was in our mailbox. What great memories! If you are planning a trip to South Lake Tahoe this tour is a MUST!! It's the experience of a lifetime and something you won't soon forget!
