What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Our family took our first-ever trip to Lake Tahoe a few weeks ago and cannot say enough about the tour we received. Our guide, Mike St. Michelle, was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable about the area and what it had to offer, not to mention very polite and helpful. Mike took us to all of the best spots that otherwise would have remained unknown to us had we been touring the area ourselves. The beautiful scenery paid a nice compliment to the service we received. I would highly recommend this tour to others. Everything was truly exceptional.

I recently participated in Keith Price's Tahoe Photo tour.My expectations were extremely high and I'm glad to say that all my expectations were met and exceeded. We (myself,wife and sister-in law) took the 1/2 day tour and we all enjoyed it immensely. I highly recommend it and the next time we are in the area we would like to take the full day tour.Lastly, the photo cd that came in the mail was a great bonus.Lisa our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. My husband and I booked this tour after reading the great reviews on TA. We made it for our first full day in Tahoe and that was a great way to see the sights. It was also during the week, which I think helped due to less congestion on the roads. Our tour guide, Greg, was wonderful. He knew alot about the area, took great photos, and helped my husband learn some tricks on our own camera. The spots Greg took us to were very pretty and would never have known they were there had it not been for the tour. We received our photo CD about 3 weeks after our trip--great shots! I was a little concerned before the trip being 7 months pregnant, not knowing what to expect, but it was a non-issue. Thanks for the great day!
