I began planning my weekend trip to Vegas at the beginning of March. I bought my Hip Hop Bar Crawl tickets through Expedia and immediately went to their own website to see if they offered a pool crawl! They were one of the only companies to have one this early in the year, & although I felt the pricing was a bit high, I still bought two tickets so that my weekend would be secure. The website uses Event Brite for their ticket services. You purchase the ticket and you are instructed to text one of two numbers for confirmation of reservation. I texted the 979 number and was instructed to send screenshots of my purchases. I did just that for both the bar and pool crawl and was told that I was locked in. Fast forward to the coronavirus. I still had every intention of going until they practically shut Vegas down. The hotel I was staying at was one of the first casinos to close. I have received a refund for my hotel, my flight, my bar crawl through Expedia, and my rental because the Coronavirus is beyond my control! I went to Event Brite to request a refund and was instructed to contact the vendor. I sent an email and the response was to call the 979 number I originally reached out to for reservations. I called the number and a male answers the phone. I proceed to try and request a refund and he tells me that I never reached out go him regarding my crawls. I told him I had sent my confirmations and he told me that I most likely spoke to someone at the 469 number and tells me to call them. Remembering seeing two numbers, I agree and we disconnect. I go through my text messages to find the number I needed, thank God I kept these, and I see that I hadnāt texted the 469 number, and actually did speak to the male with the 979 number. I call back and he tells me that I need to contact Groupon to receive my money back. This man is clearly very unorganized and does not keep any type of record because I did not purchase my tickets off of Groupon. When I tell him that he begins to stumble over his words and then tells me I need to contact the vendor cause they are holding the money, mind you that is not how Event Brite operates. The charges out of my account are to this company and I have the confirmation email, text, and tickets. I get a hold of someone with Event Brite and they told me that I have to get in touch with the vendor. This man obviously does not want to give me back my money and I am upset about it because I did not create the Coronavirus and had every intention of being in Vegas until they closed it down. I resent this man our confirmation texts and a text explaining why I am requesting a refund and of course now he is not responding. I am a first responder and donāt get to take off as I please, and with whats going on with the virus, it is unknown when I will be on a vacation again. I could understand the run around of there was no valid reason but the entire city is shut down. This man is extremely unprofessional and obviously greedy only looking out for himself! The virus has already irritated me enough but this man has overdone it. Every other part of my trip had been refunded but this pool party crawl that will no longer take place at this time! If I could give 0 stars I would. Very unprofessional!!!!
