If you’re sick of the Strip and all that it offers or the wonders of the Fremont Experience, take an air conditioned break from the glitz and sin and educate yourself for a couple of hours. We spent a quiet afternoon enjoying the exhibits, learning about Nevada natural history, Egyptian history and just delighted in being somewhere that was calm and not full of flashing neon lights. The price of admission is most reasonable and there is lots to see. It’s not fancy, but to me, it was much needed after spending too much time near the casinos. The staff were extremely nice, helpful and welcoming. I do wish the gift shop had more of a selection of souvenirs because I would have liked to have bought something to help keep their endeavors going. It was a lovely museum trip.

So many neat things to see during the festival and every year my kids especially look forward to going to the Natural History Museum. They have -ologists there and their palentologist are there year around. Live animals, animatronic dinosaurs and even a mummy. Plus, taxidermy and gemstones. Everything you need in a natural history museum.
