During our recent visit to Williamsburg we scheduled a 3 hour sailing tour of the York River with Captain Bill. It was a wonderful experience. Beautiful day for a sail and Captain Bill was very informative about how a sailboat operates. It was a great educational experience. He also allowed our adult daughter take the helm and instructed her on how to sail the ship which has led her to want to take sailing lessons on the James River in Boston where she lives. Highly recommend sailing with Captain Bill, he is knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor.

What a fantastic experience with Captain Bill! We wanted to do something a little different to break up our on-foot touring and this was perfect. An unhurried afternoon on the water learning all about the history of the area while enjoying the beautiful scenery. We took turns at the helm - which may have opened a passion for sailing for the youngest of us! I cannot recommend this outing and Captain Bill more highly. Wonderful! (The drop down didn't offer me the option of "Family - all adults" but that's what our group was.)

We had a blast. This was our second time chartering with Captain Bill. He is an amazing host and a great sailor. He knows the history of the area and he keeps his boat well maintained and shipshape. We had a steady 10 kt wind and had fun tacking towards the open bay. When it was time to turn back, we raised his spinnaker and enjoyed the sleigh ride home. His boat is agile, fast and comfortable. We are all experienced sailors, and each of us enjoyed a turn at the helm and helped with the sails. He deserves more than 5 stars! We're eager to go again.
