Some of which were featured nationally on Food Network's "Man v. Food" and The Travel Channel's "Best of the Road" along with other local favorites. What To Expect

The Roaming Table

Our expert tour guides will navigate your through the historic Village of Lewiston. On our three hour tour we will learn about the rich history of this quintessential small town. You will learn about Lewiston’s role on the Underground Railroad, the War of 1812 and even its ties to the Mafia! Lewiston is also known for its amazing restaurants. There are over 30 restaurants in a half mile radius! We will stop at “mom and pop” shops, waterfront eateries, chef owned restaurants, bustling coffee shops and much more. At each stop we will sample generous portions of food (along with drink pairings at 2 stops), enough for a filling lunch!

When I first heard about The Roaming Table I was skeptical that I would experience anything new about what Lewiston has to offer having lived 20 miles away all my life and visiting often. I could not have been more wrong. At the conclusion of the tour I came away having sampled some of the best food I have ever tasted and a new knowledge of the role Lewiston played in the history of our area of the country. The route we followed is one that is navigable by just about anyone of any fitness level and the tastings are strategically spaced. Kudos to Chris and Alicia, tour guides and owners of the Roaming Table, for developing what I'm sure will be a successful endeavor for years to come.

My husband and I found this tour extremely enjoyable. The food tastings were great and spaced nicely throughout the tour. The historical information was most interesting and truly highlighted the significance of this small town in American/Canadian history and unveiled some little known facts. The walking is well paced and imperative to get the true sense of Lewiston and to offset the ample food tastings! Getting to know Lewiston's roots and learning about today's mainstay proprietors on Center Street was fun and a wonderful way to spend a beautiful fall day. Our guide, Alicia was persona led, organized and well informed. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting charming Lewiston.

Thoroughly enjoyed the history of Lewiston that our guide Alicia shared with us while sampling different types of food and beverages at local restaurants. There was definately more then enough food and drink to fill you up. A great way to spend an afternoon.
