Hubby and I booked this for the last afternoon of our visit. BIG MISTAKE. We should have done it first so we’d know where to eat while in Niagara. Not a lot of restaurants were open in Niagara because of the unemployment situation. The restaurants we visited on this tour were great. It was our guide’s first “solo” tour, but the boss was there as backup which might have contributed to her nervousness. She did a superb job making us all feel welcome and delivering the historic information about prohibition in this town. The only reason for my 4 instead of 5 was the food choices for GF restrictions; let’s just say I ate a lot of chips and dip. Understandably, each restaurant had no idea what the others were serving, but there were some situations in which a slight change could have made my experience more similar to the rest of the group’s experience. For example, the first tasting was a slider burger for the group while I got nachos with brisket. I could have been given the same slider without the bun. If there was no way to offer the same item like wonton pork nachos the wontons could be replaced with corn chips, or instead of chips with a dip, raw veggies could be used for dipping. Other than that it was a fabulous food tour and I highly recommend it.
