As a local in Henderson, this place was on my list for years and I kept forgetting about them. I am very happy that we finally visited and will return for sure. We went to the 11am time slot and the lions were very active. The giraffe who is actually a painting artist was a highlight. All the animals looked very well taken care of and we received a lot of good information from the staff. Many people don’t realize that with each paid adult you get a free admission for a child under 14. The gift shop in reasonable priced. Take the kids and enjoy...

Lion Habitat Ranch was such a fun experience! My wife and I took our two daughters (1 and 11) and we all loved it. But, there are more animals to see than just lions. There are also emus, ostriches, tortoises, a giraffe that paints and macaws. At one point the lions began roaring. It was amazing! The roars are so powerful that I could feel vibrations on the ground. Staff were also very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely go again! A word of caution: If one of the male lions turns his backside toward you, move quickly! Our 11-year old got sprayed with urine. For her, being peed on by a lion is a badge of honor, but I can't imagine that most people would agree. Tip: Arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your reservation. Due to COVID-19, each person's temperature is being checked prior to admittance. We arrived at our scheduled time, but waited for 15 minutes before actually entering. Although we got a late start and entry, staff were very easy going about our family staying longer than our designated time slot.

Not a 'habitat' at all - more like a feline prison. This place was really depressing - all cement and fenced-in cages. I don't doubt that the lions are well cared for in terms of food and shelter, but it is incredibly sad to see such beautiful animals lying around in what feels like a prison for them. Hardly a 'habitat' or a 'ranch.' Lots of cement and chain-linked fences.
