Came here during Christmas vacation. The habitat is outside of Henderson, about a 10-minute drive from Vegas. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The admission price is also very reasonable. There were about 12 lions we saw. Also there are a couple of emus, a few ostriches, a giraffe, and some birds, and a turtle. Giraffe painting is the high point of the trip. watching the lions eating was also interesting. The reason I rate this four stars out of five has nothing to do with the staff or that we experienced anything bad. It's that we felt the habitat is a bit small for the lions. So some of the lions look kind of sad locked up in cages.

You get a great experience with the lions. They are up close. There are also birds and a giraffe that paints. The staff is excellent and the habitat has adapted well to the Covid environment!

I was amazed at these wonderful animals! They were so majestic and obviously well loved and taken care of. The handlers were so informative and patient with all my questions about lions and their care. They obviously love these animals. There also emus, ostriches, guinea fowl and birds. And who can forget Ozzy the giraffe who paints? He was funny and it was fun to watch him interact with his handlers. You even have a opportunity to buy his art! All the profits go back to the habitat. Because of COVID, some things were not open but it was still well worth it. Some of the reviews said how sad and horrible the conditions were-not true! The lions were pretty active and well fed. They had ā€œtoysā€ to play with and were very relaxed. All the handlers were very respectful to the lions. It was explained to me that the trees and vegetation had been in the habitat had slowly been worn out by the animals themselves and not taken away from them. These lions were rescued-from the MGM exhibits which were very exploitive of these creatures. We spent about 2 hours here and would happily go again just to get close to these lovely animals.
