What To Expect

Tower Theater

This is where the tour meets and we start with a brief introduction of what you will be experiencing during the tour. We will introduce the group to the magnificent Tower Theater. This is a very special place and we are the only tour in the area that has the privilege and permission to start the tour at his location.

Ball & Chain

Dating back to 1935, Ball and Chain used to be a famous jazz club that hosted Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday. Today with different owners, it is as famous as it was before. *Until restrictions are lifted due to Coronavirus, we will not be able to serve alcohol and therefore we lowered our ticket price.

Cubaocho Museum and Performing Arts Center

Be debriefed on the various art pieces such as the Damas De Blanco and other artists as we explore together some of the paintings, murals and breathtaking works of art specifically on the facade and across to this location.

Havana Classic Cigar

Learn about the art of cigar rolling at our favorite cigar factory. Watch live how master rollers craft a cubano right before your eyes. We will cover how cigars are made and why it is such an important aspect of the Cuban culture

Domino Park

Dominos is Cuba's national game and we will celebrate it by visiting the viejitos playing dominos at all hours of the day. This is a famous landmark in Little Havana that will give you the experience to dive deep in the local culture while learning about its historical importance to the neighborhood.

This tour takes place in the Miami neighborhood of Cuban exiles called Little Havana, the cultural epicenter of Miami.

Tower Theater

This is the first movie theater in the United States featuring American iconic movies with Spanish subtitles. We will learn about the importance this landmark has in the neighborhood as well as when it was built and transformed into an art deco building.

Bay of Pigs Monument

This monument celebrates the fallen of the bay of pigs invasion in Little Havana, Miami, Florida. We will visit this beautiful section in the neighborhood that reminds us of those who struggle in the fight for freedom.

Excellent tour. I am a Florida resident and learned so much about the history and culture of the Calle Ocho area. Ariel was a phenomenal guide. The food presentation was off the charts and everything was well timed and organized.

You cannot go wrong with Martica @LaCubanQueen as your tour guide! My husband and 2 boys (9 & 12) and I went on a culinary cultural walking tour on Calle Ocho in historic Little Havana. From the moment we met Martica we literally felt like one of her tribe- or familia as she referred to us in the group. We tried delicious Cuban coffee, empanadas, pastelitos, croquetas de jamón, churros, mojitos, Cuban sandwiches… just thinking about it makes my heart and stomach full. We finished with a visit to Domino Park and a personal, close-to-her-heart story about her family’s story of coming to the US and those who fought to try to overthrow Castro but sadly parished. It was a lovely afternoon topped with shopping for authentic guayaberas, cigars and fedoras. Cannot recommend Martica enough - book with @LaCubanQueen- because she is!!
