Longwood Gardens Experience

Overview
Join our special Springtime tour of the magnificent Longwood Gardens!

Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Philadelphia lies this dazzling display of flowers, plants and trees. Leave the driving to your guide as they escort you in our spacious and comfortable van down into the Brandywine Valley.

On the ride down, your guide will discuss the history of the area, and how this section of Southeast Pennsylvania saw the birth of the Dupont family legacy. It was a DuPont descendent who would create today's Longwood Gardens.

We will arrange for your entry into the gardens, and once inside, you’ll be able to stroll around the site at your pace. You won’t believe your eyes as you explore the meticulously manicured grounds, or when you enter Longwood’s breathtaking conservatories. The fountains will leave you awestruck as the water dances to music.

After a couple of hours in the gardens, your guide will then escort you back to Philadelphia, capping off a fantastic day!

When Longwood Gardens’ timed holiday tickets were sold out, WeVenture got us in! We met up with our guide, James, promptly at the entrance (he had already started to communicate with us the day before!) James knew the best paths to see everything, including hidden gems and places not to be missed as well as having a wealth of info to relate. His pace was our pace. After James took us on one complete loop (around 3.5 hours) we stayed 3.5 more having dinner and enjoying the lights, conservatory, music and fountains a bit more.

We took WeVenture tour to Longwood Gardens winter light show to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Everyone in our small group enjoyed the trip. Adam, our guide, contacted us via text in advance to coordinate the pickup in the center of Philly. Adam was extremly punctual, knowledgeable, and tuned to our needs and expectations. Upon arrival, we had about two hours to explore the gardens on our own or with the guide. There’s so much history to learn and landscapes to see at Longeood, that it definitely deserves another trip, perhaps in summertime. Some of our visit’s highlights were the old DuPont mansion housing a wonderful history exhibit, the new $250 million concervancybexpansion, and the bonsai collection. Thank you WeVenture for the experience!
