We were looking forward to renting kayaks on our recent vacation to Ft. Myers. We chose Lovers Key Adventures based on recommendations from local folks who work at the state park. We opted for the sunset/full moon kayak tour with Stephen and his dog Bowser. It really could not have been more perfect! Stephen knows so much about the mangrove ecology and is excited to share his knowledge with the tour groups. We saw tons of birds, mullets, a few crocs, and manatees. Two manatees came right up to our group and were nudging our kayaks while Stephen explained how they come and go from Black Island and the bay. It was fascinating! We will definitely be going on a morning kayak tour with him when we are next in town.

So my wife and I have now been on two guided kayak tours with Stephen Denmark and his dog Bowser. He is an incredible guide. He knows so much about the biodiversity inside the estuary. With him as your guide you are sure to see way more animals, as he will literally walk the bay to find things with his feet so you can see what lives below the water. We took my wife's parents back for a second tour because he was so good. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore the life that exists in this amazing place. Not hard with regards to kayaking as my in-laws are beginners and had no difficulty keeping up. Stephen takes it nice and slow explaining as you paddle.

Took a guided tour with Stephen Denmark and faithful dog Bowser through the waters of the Lovers Key estuary. Stephen guided us through several herds of manatees, some of which were very anxious to "show off" for our group -- rolling around our kayaks and surfacing to see what we were all about. We saw feeding frenzies by tarpon and other schools of fish, held jellyfish and watched them display their bioluminescence in the water, held urchins and a beautiful little fish that lays in the water like a leaf. Stephen found large live whelks and educated us on various birds, plants and fish as well as the history of the area. It's clear Stephen is doing what he loves and he transfers that enthusiasm to his guests. And Bowser is just too cute!
