This is a 2 hour and 15 minute tour with Lovers Key Adventures master naturalist guide, Stephen, who expertly guides our guests through the mangrove canopied estuary explaining the importance of the southwest Florida eco-system -the history of the area- from the Calusa Indians, Conquistadors, and Ponce De Leon..on. He finds wildlife and introduces our guests to the various birds, vegetation, dolphins, and manatee (if they’re around that day;) This is one of the unique experiences available in southwest Florida. Our guests also often take advantage of the beaches and hiking trails offered inside the state park. There are many photo opportunities available to capture the memories of this incredible experience within the natural surroundings of the untouched Florida landscape.

We had done SUP a few years before and wanted to try it again. This place was a little farther out from where we were staying but it was the only one that wasnt already booked up for the week. The park is beautiful with plenty to do, bike riding, beach tram and canoeing. We only saw one manatee, a racoon, and a turtle. It was very windy but we had a great time. Our tour wasnt guided but I would have liked it to be. We had a really great time and will definately do it again. Do be prepared for the Ft. Meyers traffic, it was a bear and made us late but they were very accomodating and held our spot.

The three of us went out in Kayaks with the awesome guide Karen! Make sure you ask for her by name! Karen is super knowledgeable about the Mangroves and had lots of stories and information to share. We learned so much about the birds in the Magroves! We saw Dolphins, lots of Manatees, lots of birds, mullet fish and did I say Manatees? ! I'd never seen a manatee before and we saw loads of them!

My sister and I had a wonderful estuary tour with Karen. We saw local wildlife and learned a lot about the animals and plants. We saw manatees and several types of birds. This will be a precious memory for years to come.
