The Navajo name for Lower Antelope Canyon is Hasdeztwazi or “Spiral Rock Arches.” This incredible canyon has been created over many thousands of years by the relentless forces of water and wind, slowly carving and sculpting the sandstone into forms, textures, and shapes which we observe today.

The views in Lower Antelope Canyon change constantly as the sun moves across the sky, filtering lights softly across the stone walls. These ever-moving sun angles bounce light back and forth across the narrow canyon’s walls, creating a dazzling display of color, light, and shadow.

What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

A 1 hour guided tour through Lower Antelope Canyon. Learn about the geology, history and the culture of the Navajo people that live around the canyon. Don't forget to bring a camera you will be taking a lot of photos! Antelope canyon is famous for its wave-like structure and the light beams that shine directly down into the openings of the canyon, creating a super natural appearance. Many travellers and photographers have been attracted here, regard it as a place where dreams come true. Different from the flat ground of Upper Antelope Canyon, Lower Antelope Canyon requires visitors to climb upside and down through staircases and ladders. It feels like you are entering a new planet, starting a magical adventure.

An amazing experience! The lower antelope canyon is beautiful and was truly a surreal experience. Our guide, Keanu, was excellent and was very proactive in explaining little known facts and also clicking pictures for the guests at every possible opportunity! Overall it was excellent and I definitely recommend both the tour and the tour guide! Thank you Keanu!

Antelope Canyon was an incredible place! Our young Navajo tour guide was exceptionally good. She was a big part of this wonderful, other worldly experience with her knowledge and suggestions for how to get the most out of the tour.

Personal experience at the slot canyons was great , but our guide was not very informative. He offered to take pictures , did not really give interesting information about the formations or history of the site.
