A wonderful tour of a truly amazing place, our guide, Ali, was more than terrific. Her knowledge of this Canyon and the upkeep and history was fascinating. The tour is physical for sure, there are numerous sets of stairs, the longest is going down into the Canyon but the rest of the stairs are interspersed on the way. Some of the ways are narrow and the floor of the Canyon is covered in sand so sneakers are recommended , safer and good for the metal stairs. Wear pants with good pockets, no bags or fanny packs allowed, so cameras and phones are good to go and there are times you might need both hands, thus pockets. All of that said, it was not difficult but it is an hour of slow walking, some stairs and some narrow passages. All said and done, it was amazing, breathtaking, beautiful and I thought it more interesting than the Grand Canyon.
