Lower Antelope Canyon is one the most exquisitely photographed attractions in the Page Lake Powell area. Many visitors prefer the Lower Antelope Canyon to the Upper because it is less crowded, has light throughout, is longer, and offers great variety. Visitors get the experience narrow slots an ladder access into some of the sandstone craved shoots an holes formed by the force of runoff into the Antelope Wash from the mesas above.

What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Tour Departure Point: Lower Antelope Canyon Indn Route 222 Page, AZ, 86040 Antelope Canyon Tours departs every 1/2 hour a quarter after and a quarter till the hour, the tour is a 1.5 hours waling tour and climbing down some ladders is involved. Please wear comfortable shoes for this 600 meter trip. Lower Antelope Canyon Tours has smaller group sizes and the guide stays with you during the entire tour, sharing information about the geology, history, and Navajo Traditional ways. The Lower Antelope Canyon tends to be less crowded than the Upper Antelope Canyon and is preferred by many because of its narrow canyon walls and ladders that take you to the levels that have been carved by flash floods from the upper mesas. The sandstone walls are exquisitely formed, and the Lower Antelope Canyon offers a longer canyon exploration.

It would be the best to book the tour time around 11 am, you want the sun's ray redirect on the slot canyon.

It was awesome! Highly recommend. Abit challenging in places. Pictures don't due it justice. Guide was excellent.

Much more than expected. Beautiful. Our guide, Nolan, knew all of the great spots to take pictures, and even the best camera settings to get the shots (adjusting iPhone lighting, taking pano shots). Canyon, and the canyon tour felt much longer than expected. Go for it. Worth experiencing. In October 2022, the reservation was still requiring masks, but we were able to take them off for eating/drinking (pics). No video, only photos, but not strictly enforced.
