Many visitors prefer the Lower Antelope Canyon to the Upper because it is less crowded, has light throughout, is longer, and offers great variety. What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Tour Departure Point: Lower Antelope Canyon Indn Route 222 Page, AZ, 86040 Antelope Canyon Tours departs every 1/2 hour a quarter after and a quarter till the hour, the tour is a 1.5 hours waling tour and climbing down some ladders is involved. Please wear comfortable shoes for this 600 meter trip. Lower Antelope Canyon Tours has smaller group sizes and the guide stays with you during the entire tour, sharing information about the geology, history, and Navajo Traditional ways. The Lower Antelope Canyon tends to be less crowded than the Upper Antelope Canyon and is preferred by many because of its narrow canyon walls and ladders that take you to the levels that have been carved by flash floods from the upper mesas. The sandstone walls are exquisitely formed, and the Lower Antelope Canyon offers a longer canyon exploration.

Everything was smooth and easy. I went with my family of 3, my friend and her 4 year old daughter. I got lucky to find 5 slots on a Sunday afternoon tour that I booked the night before. RJ was our tour guide and he was the best. He made sure our 4 year old was safe and having a blast at the same time. He was patient, funny, friendly and provided a lot of information. And he took great photos as a cherry on top. Another one for the books.

Carmelita is very knowledgeable about the canyon and the area, and is a wonderful photographer to boot! She helped everyone with settings for their phone cameras and provided great opportunities for beautiful pictures. I was amazed that our pictures look just like the ones on the website! Make time to take a tour if you are in the area.
