Lower Antelope Canyon is one the most exquisitely photographed attractions in the Page Lake Powell area. Many visitors prefer the Lower Antelope Canyon to the Upper because it is less crowded, has light throughout, is longer, and offers great variety. What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Tour Departure Point: Lower Antelope Canyon Indn Route 222 Page, AZ, 86040 Antelope Canyon Tours departs every 1/2 hour a quarter after and a quarter till the hour, the tour is a 1.5 hours waling tour and climbing down some ladders is involved. Please wear comfortable shoes for this 600 meter trip. Lower Antelope Canyon Tours has smaller group sizes and the guide stays with you during the entire tour, sharing information about the geology, history, and Navajo Traditional ways. The Lower Antelope Canyon tends to be less crowded than the Upper Antelope Canyon and is preferred by many because of its narrow canyon walls and ladders that take you to the levels that have been carved by flash floods from the upper mesas. The sandstone walls are exquisitely formed, and the Lower Antelope Canyon offers a longer canyon exploration.

Antelope canyon is a place I cannot recommend enough. You’re tour guide Leeds you through the canyon and tells you all about it and leaves you speechless when you get out.

Before I came to Arizona, everyone told me about Antelope Canyon so I knew it was going to be amazing, but never thought it would go above and beyond my expectations. Me and my boyfriend were in a group with another family and we had Doreen as our tour guide. I wish I could promote her myself because she deserves the world and more. A genuinely beautiful human who made this experience one of the best I’ll ever have. She took pictures for us (they look like a professional photographer took them) and didn’t let us miss one story about the history of this Navajo land. I would recommend this to ANYONE; families, couples, solo explorers or friends. It is an amazing experience that will leave you in awe. If you go, be sure to ask for Doreen :)

Amazing place - Brilliant guide. I did upper antelope canyon few years back. It was amazing but lower Canyon has way passed my expectation. The views are awesome, specially around 2-4pm. It’s hot but totally worth it. We were guided by “Kevin Smith”. By far the most friendly guide I have ever met. He even clicked our pictures and he has brilliant photographic skills as well. Thanks Kevin and team.
