Lower Antelope Canyon is one the most exquisitely photographed attractions in the Page Lake Powell area. Many visitors prefer the Lower Antelope Canyon to the Upper because it is less crowded, has light throughout, is longer, and offers great variety. What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Tour Departure Point: Lower Antelope Canyon Indn Route 222 Page, AZ, 86040 Antelope Canyon Tours departs every 1/2 hour a quarter after and a quarter till the hour, the tour is a 1.5 hours waling tour and climbing down some ladders is involved. Please wear comfortable shoes for this 600 meter trip. Lower Antelope Canyon Tours has smaller group sizes and the guide stays with you during the entire tour, sharing information about the geology, history, and Navajo Traditional ways. The Lower Antelope Canyon tends to be less crowded than the Upper Antelope Canyon and is preferred by many because of its narrow canyon walls and ladders that take you to the levels that have been carved by flash floods from the upper mesas. The sandstone walls are exquisitely formed, and the Lower Antelope Canyon offers a longer canyon exploration.

Lower Antelope was incredibly impressive! There's awesome colors (all of the reds and oranges and some purples) and great picture opportunities every step of the way. Josie was a great guide who showed the best picture spots down to the necessary phone camera settings, and also gave great insight into Native American culture. Groups were running up to each other a few times, but it didn't feel rushed. All in all a great experience :)

Everything. An amazing experience helped along by an amazing guide. The caves are remarkable. The steps/ladders are a little intimidating at first but are very safe.

Amazing place and wonderful guide. One of the top 10 cool spots in all AZ. My 80 year old wife handled stairs and hike just fine. She loved it. Even better than Upper Antelope. Reserve early. It’s on AZ time not Navajo Daylight.
