What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Tour Departure Point: Lower Antelope Canyon Indn Route 222 Page, AZ, 86040 Antelope Canyon Tours departs every 1/2 hour a quarter after and a quarter till the hour, the tour is a 1.5 hours waling tour and climbing down some ladders is involved. Please wear comfortable shoes for this 600 meter trip. Lower Antelope Canyon Tours has smaller group sizes and the guide stays with you during the entire tour, sharing information about the geology, history, and Navajo Traditional ways. The Lower Antelope Canyon tends to be less crowded than the Upper Antelope Canyon and is preferred by many because of its narrow canyon walls and ladders that take you to the levels that have been carved by flash floods from the upper mesas. The sandstone walls are exquisitely formed, and the Lower Antelope Canyon offers a longer canyon exploration.

The guided tour through the Lower Antelope Canyon was a really great experience. The guide took us in a small group of only 9 people through the canyon. He showed us good spots for taking photos. It was about noon and the light in the canyon was breathtakingly beautiful.

Tour was rushed and very restrictive, you can’t even do a 15 second Instagram video. Beautiful place, but not a great experience. I go to the outdoors for adventure, here I felt like I was being baby sat and having my hand held the whole time. People got escorted out for taking pictures without a mask, even though they were far away and isolated from everyone else. At the entrance of the canyon one of the tour’s staff had his mask down we found this to be very hypocritical and unnecessary. Will not return and will not recommend this anyone.
