On our 3 hour Lower Garden District Walking Food Tour, you will savor foods from 5 uniquely different restaurants, mom-and-pop shops and bakeries. We will tease your taste buds as you nosh on foods from award-winning food establishments. The Lower Garden District food out gets you out of The Quarter and into a neighborhood the local live and eat in. We savor foods like Korean BBQ, the best Jewish Deli Sandwich in NOLA, authentic Mexican tacos, a bologna sandwich from a restaurant named by Bon Appetit as the "Best New Restaurant in America," and artisanal doughnuts. In addition to all the delectable foods, your guide will tell fun and interesting stories about the history, culture and food scene of the neighborhood. Join us on an eating adventure!

What a spectacular tour! My partner and I opted for a food tour of the Lower Garden District and weren't disappointed. Our guide, Misty, was an absolute delight as she guided us through the neighborhood that she calls home. Stopping and eating at hot spots is one thing but being guided by a local who truly loved the food, culture, and ambiance of her community is another. We not only enjoyed the food at several stops (we were STUFFED) but Misty was happy to engage in conversation with us about our travels and give recommendations for other joints to haunt. I can't wait to try another Sidewalk Food Tour!

We love the Garden District and the beautiful architecture, gardens, etc. We had previously walked down Magazine and read many of the menus at the huge variety of restaurants. Getting to sample the work of creative chefs and innovative business people was fantastic. Who knew a baloney sandwich could taste so great or that a pastrami sandwich outside of NYC could make you take a whole new look at Deli's. Not to mention those donuts. Needless to say we loved the food. Our guide was delightful. As a resident of the Garden District her insight and perspective was both interesting and informative. It's always fun to have a friend share a great food find! This tour is exactly that experience times 5! Fun group and great food. We have a list of great places to revisit the next time we are in NOLA!
