Great tour if you want to find out about the guide - I now know all about her education, where she lives, her friends, which parties she went to, her ancestry and on and on and on. Ostensibly, this was related to the tour, but... I would have much rather learned about New York then listened to stories about the guide's background (it was entertaining for the first 10 seconds, but not for the full 2 hours).

Richard Soden, our guide, gave us everything we came for and more. Wanted to see any remaining traces of the Dutch in New York, he found all the hidden ones and taught us many, other things around the topic. We already had a background in Dutch NY but he revealed places we never would have found. His knowledge about NYC history in general gave added meaning to our main interest in Dutch history.

This walking tour was fun and so informative. Our guide, Justin, shared a wealth of information through stories, explanations of what we were seeing and of what had been there before. This all made the history come alive. This was a unique and rewarding way to spend a couple of hours. Highly recommend for tourists or New Yorkers.
