Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, or sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

What To Expect

Pigeon River

We have a big facility with picnic tables and a food truck, plenty of parking. We are located by the Pigeon river and there is a campground right next to us.

Smoky Mountain Outdoors Rafting

The River Outpost is where all customers check in to go down the river. Everyone needs to show up 45 minutes before there schedule time in order to check in.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

We had Kyle as our guide and we 20/10 recommend him!! He made the trip so much fun, he was very sociable and fun to get to know! We definitely want to go back and have him as our guide but on the upper rafting tour soon!

We had two rafts with a total of 11 people ranging in age from 3-70 on the Lower Pigeon River Tour. Words cannot explain what fun everyone had thanks to Eli (and a beautiful day) as well as Susan in the front office. Susan was friendly and efficient in making sure our reservation was in place and explaining details of the tour. Eli is a skilled guide who made us feel safe but also enabled us to experience the thrill of being on the river and in such a beautiful place. He engaged with the little ones and the adults and made for a day we will long remember. Can't wait for the children to be a bit older to take the Upper Pigeon Rafting Tour. Thank you Eli, Susan and Smoky Mountain Rafting!

The rafting was amazing. Our guide did an excellent job in explaining how all we needed to know. The views were amazing and we had a great time. Highly recommend to others!!
