Na Pali Coast: destination is dependent on ocean conditions, tour may need to reroute south.
Snorkeling: is dependent on ocean condition's, if the tour is not able to snorkel there will be plenty of other highlights along the way!
Bring: towel, non-spray sunscreen, rain-jacket, cameras protected from water, and any medications, allergy/ insect protection you require.
Wear: bathing suits, light cover-up, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat. Plan on getting wet. We are a barefoot tour unless a medical condition prevents that, please inform your captain
Menu: Option of Turkey or veggie Wrap. (Please specify) Our kitchen processes nuts, gluten, and dairy. If you have any extreme allergies please come prepared with your own food.
CANCELLATION POLICY: To modify, reschedule, or cancel ANY tour and receive a full refund, YOU MUST CALL KST 24 Hours prior to your tour check-in time.

They told us upfront that there was only a 50% chance we’d be able to make it to the Na Pali Coast, as the weather report indicated high winds. They said we could take our chances or reschedule...we decided to take a leap of faith, and we’re glad we did! We ended up not making it all the way up the coast, but we did get close enough to see it. That was a bummer, but we quickly learned there was much more that this tour had to offer! We had never seen so much ocean wildlife. Dolphins swimming just next to the boat, hundreds of them! We saw humpback whales breaching continuously. We saw sea turtles while we snorkeled. It was a beautiful experience, even though we couldn’t make it all the way there. That being said, if you get seasick, think carefully if you want to go. The swells were big and the boat was rocking! Thankfully they brought around salty snacks and played some AC/DC to get us pumped up to brave the high seas. A bunch of people got sick but that’s showbiz! Eyes on the horizon. The captain and staff were wonderful and a big part of what kept our spirits high and feeling taken care of even in the bumpiest patches. So glad we decided to try our luck!

BUT, providing it’s safe enough to go out, the amazing ocean life coming out to play during these months is usually more than worth it! Captain was hilarious, lots of good times onboard. All the staff were so helpful manoeuvring food & drinks around on a rough sea. Huge thumbs up and thank you to Matt for his help when my wife became sick. You turned an embarrassing situation for her into a positive, comfortable one and that made our day. This tour was a highlight of our trip so far.

Note: We didn't actually end up completing a trip with Kauai Sea Tours. We had a family reunion on Kauai during the week after Christmas and pre-booked a Napali coast and snorkeling catarmaran tour with the highly-rated KST for one of the first days after we arrived. Our group of about 12 people boarded the vessel ('Imiloa) but the boat broke down shortly after leaving the port and had to return. KST was quick to process a refund but due to the busy season couldn't accommodate our group on another day during our reunion that was suitable for us. We had rented snorkel gear from another company for the week and called them for help in finding another Napali coast/snorkeling tour. Unfortunately there were none available initially but then later that same day, the snorkel gear company called to say that they had arranged a tour for us on KST the morning of our departure day back to the mainland. We booked the trip and were excited to think that we would actually get to see the Napali coast and snorkel. The day before our second scheduled trip, we called KST as requested by their text message that morning to reconfirm our reservation. When we called, we were told that the boat was in dry dock for repairs for the weekend and would not go out. KST stated that they had advised us of the cancellation but the only message we got from them was the request to reconfirm. The snorkeling company handled the refund expeditiously for the second cancelled trip. In the end, our group didn't get to see the Napli coast during our trip to Kauai which was a HUGE disappointment. We understand that vessels do occasionally have repair needs but KST's handling of the cancellations was not satisfactory.
