We were excited when we heard the news that December 19, would be a ācalmā day to go north to see the Napali Coast from the ocean side. Since we hiked it 3 years back we we both looking forward to seeing it from a different angle.
December - and winter months in general - is the season where the waters can get a little rough. A dozen people felt the motion sickness, but that didnāt change the fact that it was a beautiful day to sail up the Napali Coast. Bring a poncho and change of clothes. You will get wet, either from the isolated showers or from splashes.
Why 5 stars?! It was a beautiful trip, really, it was. But the 5 stars go to the crew. They were not only making sure we were all safe during the most choppy parts of the ride, but they literally served all of us food, snacks, drinks, and buckets for the unlucky ones.
Thank you, Captain Kauai, and your lovely crew for an unforgettable experience. Mahalo!
