We saw “tons” of humpback whale spouts and two whales pretty darn close. We came upon a pod of spinner dolphins who put on a show then swam right along with boat for quite a while. We even saw two mantarays cruise by the boat. We lucked out with smooth waters and a stunning view of the Na Pali coast. The crew of the “Lucky Lady” literally ran around the boat to keep people “well hydrated” - no skimping on the beer, wine or mai tai’s and helping in any way possible to enjoy of trip. Greg, our Captain, was very knowledgeable and provided good commentary. Even stopped the motor to try and hear whale noises (we did!).

Shortly after setting out we were already on whales. We saw breaches, tail slaps, look ups rolls, dives, babies to adults. Captain Kauai and crew were awesome. The captain was so knowledgeable and shared Hawaiian lore with us. The food was delicious, the maitai so yummy. The sunset beyond amazing, and the nepali coast was reminiscent of our sailing trip in Greece. You will love this tour.

We went in winter and the weather was not spectacular. Got to see some of the Na Pali coast before the rains came. But OMG there were whale everywhere. I mean everywhere. Captain Jacob was wonderful at pointing out humpbacks, bottlenose dolphins and spinner dolphins. Breaching, fluking and spouting everywhere. Okay, we got super lucky but any opportunity to see there amazing creatures is a moment to be relished. There is a reason that the humpbacks save the world in Star Trek IV. BTW Paul was super helpful.
