If you are looking for a romantic, relaxing sunset cruise with great food and upscale atmosphere...this is not it.
Iām writing this review with the purpose of sparing some other couples the same confusion we had. The way this cruise was advertised was NOT how it actually went.
First of all, they snorkel on these cruises every day except Friday and Sunday. Luckily we didnāt want to snorkel, but we went on a Friday, and half the boat showed up in swim suits and snorkel gear. We (and some others) showed up in nice dresses and button downs thinking we were going on a fancy dinner cruise..clearly everyone was very confused. Again, poorly advertised both online and in the brochure in both accords.
If go into this looking for an āadventureā cruise where you WILL get wet with a very casual atmosphere, then this is more for you. A few things to note that were NOT advertised:
The captain talks the ENTIRE time into the microphone. Too much. So be ready to hear all about his family history, jokes, and lots of āumsā. Not much peace and quiet to take it all in.
The ā3 course mealā is a a few pretzels and crackers, a paper plate lunch, and a cookie.
You WILL get wet. So donāt dress nice. We learned the hard way.
All this being said, the crew was super nice and the views were breathtaking so overall enjoyable- however, it would have been much more enjoyable had we been prepared for a wet and causal āadventureā cruise with some food and drinks, rather than the relaxing, romantic, upscale dinner cruise we were expecting.
