Overview

This serene nighttime adventure provides exclusive access to the villages of the Polynesian Cultural Center after they close to the public and features a controlled and safe water environment is one of a kind! No Waves. No Sharks. No Worries! Guided through a tranquil lagoon by moonlight, you'll be visiting the islands of Samoa, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, Tonga, and Tahiti on a stand-up paddle board or kayak that features colorful LED illumination in the water around you. For approximately 90 minutes your storyteller will share ancient Polynesian culture, legends and lore that will educate, entertain and enchant!

Jeremy was our tour guide and he was knowledgeable, fun, engaging and passionate about the tribes and the tour. The best part was halfway through the tour he had us lay down on our boards and look at the stars and just take in the beauty. Mahalo for making our experience so memorable!

The Lunar Legends of Polynesia tour was super unique and definitely a highlight for us. There's not a lot to do after dark, especially on this side of Oahu, so we jumped at the opportunity and I'm so glad we did. Jeremy, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable and you could tell how deeply connected he was to the subject material, especially given that he had lived in many of the areas we talked about. We were hesitant to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center during the day time due to the crowds, the cost, and how warm it can be in the middle of the day, and this was an excellent substitute. There was nothing more peaceful than paddle boarding through the islands in calm water, and the experience truly felt very personal and one-on-one. We were a couple in an overall group of about 13, and while we loved this experience and meeting everyone else, I think it would even be worth it to pay a little more for a private encounter! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the North Shore looking for a unique experience!
