This serene nighttime adventure provides exclusive access to the villages of the Polynesian Cultural Center after they close to the public and features a controlled and safe water environment is one of a kind! No Waves. No Sharks. No Worries! Guided through a tranquil lagoon by moonlight, you'll be visiting the islands of Samoa, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, Tonga, and Tahiti on a stand-up paddle board or kayak that features colorful LED illumination in the water around you. For approximately 90 minutes your storyteller will share ancient Polynesian culture, legends and lore that will educate, entertain and enchant!

I had a great time at Lunar Legends. We couldn't get regular tickets to the cultural center since it was fully booked several months in advance. When the concierge at our resort mentioned this experience we thought it would be perfect. It was a nice relaxing exploration of the center with informative stories for the history of the Polynesians. We had all levels of expertise with paddleboarding and kayaking and all did a great job on the calm water. Just be prepared to get a little wet in the waterfalls!

We really enjoyed our Lunar Legends experience. Our guide was friendly and helpful with the paddle boarding (it was our first time, but he made it easy), and he shared some fun Polynesian legends with us. The adventure was quite magical with the fluorescent lights under our boards and moving through the water in the moonlight. There were a few fun surprises too, such as the river race, moving through waterfalls, reflection time under the stars, and even a fire dance at the end. Overall awesome. Be sure to wear a swimsuit...we got pretty wet. We would definitely recommend this experience to friends.

We booked a night paddling tour by redeeming Groupon vouchers with Bret, operator of North Shore Explorers Lunar Legends of Polynesia tour, via phone. It was same day booking and easy to enjoy when your group is small. We were welcomed by Tofa and prepped us before the tour. Then Simon (you might have seen him on Youtube somewhere), took us on a 1.30 hr paddling session, sharing stories, and teaching us some Hawaiian words. We learned and enjoyed so much the activity we shared with the group and our guide at the time. Definitely worth checking out and remember to take advantage of Groupon!
